TomTom CURFER provides you with information on your braking handling and other vehicle-related performance. From the moment it plugs into your car's OBD port you'll learn more about just what your driving habits mean. The app will then coach you helping you improve how you treat your car on the road. And if you can't find where you parked your car... CURFER can help with that too!
You've been warned
To get any use out of the app obviously you need to drive with it for a while. Once you have you'll get a score from 0 to 100 for your car and brief notes based on foibles in your performance (e.g. 'Harsh braking!'). Tapping on these notifications can give you a bit of extra information on what exactly you're doing wrong and advice on how to fix it but generally they're self-explanatory. This makes CURFER most useful for catching habits you're not aware of not fixing those that you are.
A trip and a tip
In summary TomTom CURFER does what it's advertised to. In our testing it does help find where you parked your car too. That said you need to keep the app plugged in and on to make use of it so really you should get TomTom CURFER if you want to use its primary function: moderating your driving.
